What is POE Lighting Technology?

Power over Ethernet (POE) is a technology system that allows electricity to be carried through Cat5 (Ethernet) cable. This system allows for up to 24 POE Lights to remain small, energy efficient, while maintaining the necessary amount of light to cover the designated area.

Benefits of POE Lighting

These lights use POE technology to deliver power to the LED lights. There are several advantages to using this technology:

Energy-efficient

All our lights only consume 1 watt of power each. Operating 10 lights for 10 hours uses 0.1 KWr which costs less than a cent per night.

Easy Install

Installation is easier than most other outdoor lighting. No cutting or drilling is required.

Versatile

One to 24 lights can be used on a single power supply. These can be use for any combination of steps, pillars or retaining walls and can be installed up to 100 meters from the power supply.

How does our patented system work?

Power over Ethernet (PoE) lighting plugs into a passive POE Injector for power only. Outdoor quality CAT5 cables are purchased based on the light spacing. Dielectric grease is used in all outdoor connectors for water protection and shrink tubing is used for in-ground connections for added protection.
